General Motors engineered the '71 and newer C-10 trucks with a much larger disc brake spindle that utilizes a 12" brake rotor, along with much larger diameter wheel bearings. Although it’s possible to adapt smaller passenger car parts to fit onto the stock drum brake spindle, you will never achieve the proper stopping power using these types of components on a C-10 truck. We’ve designed every Early Classic Spindle to accept standard GM ½ ton brake components, so replacement parts are readily available at your local auto parts store. Every Kit Comes Complete With Master Cylinder, Proportioning Valve, Brake Lines, Brake Hoses, Calipers, Pads, Rotors, Bearings, Seals, Dust Shields, Dust Caps, Castle Nuts, Slotted Washers, Banjo Bolts, and All necessary Hardware and Brackets.

This kit includes our C20 to C10 conversion spindles allowing you to retain your C20 ball joints and tie rod ends.

1963-72 Trailing Arms and Crossmember Kit

With their clean, smooth construction, these one piece Trailing Arm replacements install in the original location without modification. These American-made Trailing Arms are completely TIG welded and powder coated black for a lifetime of rust- free sevice. They are supplied with new U-bolts, coils spring retainer cups, polygraphite bushings, integrated emergency brake cable bracket, and all necessary hardware. 

Also included:

 Early Classic's Extreme Drop Center Crossmember solving several clearance problems associated with 5" or more rear drops. Not only does our unit give your chassis 2.5" more ground clearance, it's raised center hoop design eliminates driveshaft interference on trucks with a slammed stance. This Assembly also provides exhaust passages to allow you to run 3" dual exhaust through the center of your chassis and out of harm's way. This black powder-coated beast has been engineered and fabricated from 1/4" thick Laser-cut and formed steel plate to be stronger and more functional than the factory unit it replaces. As you have come to expect from Early Classic, this component's design also retains factory brake line, fuel line and parking brake cable passages, and is provided with all necessary Grade-8 hardware. (No cutting or welding required.) (Note: Designed for use on short wheel-base, one-piece driveline pickups with 5" drop or more.)

1971-72 C-10 2½" Drop Disc Brake Spindles (Pair)

Drop Spindles achieve their lowered stance by relocating the spindle pin higher in the casting, which in turn lowers the vehicle by an equal amount. The stock spring and shock absorber travel remain untouched, leaving the factory suspension geometry intact. Gone are the harsh ride and alignment problems common with other forms of lowering. Early Classic Drop Spindles are the original '60-'72 Drop Spindles, and are machined to accept your original tie rods and ball joints (Disc Brakes required). While others offer later model parts that require changing your suspension components in order for them to fit, every Early Classic Spindle is designed for your specific year and model of truck. Early Classic Drop Spindles are engineered to lower your Truck 2½", allowing the maximum amount of front wheel backspacing on the market.

Automatic Transmission Crossmembers (Each) Designed to replace the factory automatic transmission crossmember for additional clearance or add a automatic to your factory manual transmission 63-72 GM truck. This crossmember is a direct replacement for a turbo 350 or 400, and will also work with a 700r4, 4l60, 4l80, and others. Allows pan removal without removing crossmember. Some drilling may be required. This crossmember works well with our Extreme Drop Crossmember so you can run the exhaust between the frame rails instead of hanging below . Also available with a non powdercoated (raw) finish.

Looking to convert your ¾ ton Truck to ½ ton front suspension? We are proud to introduce the only C-20 to C-10 2½" Drop Spindles available on the market. (disc brakes required). Over the years, we’ve had many customers with C-20 8-lug Trucks that would like to convert over to the better riding C-10 suspension and change their wheels to either a 5-lug or 6-lug bolt pattern. These new Conversion Spindles allow you to upgrade to C-10 front disc brakes on the ’60-’70 model Trucks, and give you the option of 2½" front Drop Spindles for the same price without having to change your tie rods and ball joints.
